Today also thousands of pilgrims came to seek the blessings of Parumala Thirumeni and pray at his Kabar. It is assumed that the rush would remain for the next one week.

Close of Parumala Perunnal (Kodiyirakku)
          

Today is the last day of the Parumala Perunnal. Thousands of devotees have come to seek the blessings of Parumala Thirumeni. The crowd of pligrims is believed to be the greatest this time when compared to the previous years.

At 11.00 AM the meeting of MGOCSM was started. Catholicos designate H.B Paulose Mar Milithios Metropolitan inaugurated the function. At 02.00 PM the rasa started and the perunnal officially camed to a close with the "kodiyirakku" and ended after the blessings at 03.30 PM and thanks giving message of Rev. Fr. M.D John, Parumala Seminary Manager.

At 08.30 AM, the Holy Qurbana was conducted in the Church under the leadership of Bava Thirumeni. Catholicos designate H.B Paulose Mar Milithios Metropolitan delivered the scriptural message at 09.45 AM. H.G Thomas Mar Athanasios Metropolitan, lead the Tri-mass at 6.00 a.m. in the Chapel. H.G Paulose Mar Pakomios Metropolitan lead the Holy Mass at 4.00 am in the church.

Close of Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Parumala Thirumeni's declaration as a saint
          

The close of the diamond jubilee celebration of Parumala Thirumeni's declaration as a saint was conducted today at 11 AM. The central minister, Mr. Vayalar Ravi inaugurated the function. H.H Baselios Didimos I, the Catholicos of the East, presided over the function. The opposition leader Mr. Oommen Chandy rendered the diamond jubilee message. Minister Mathew T Thomas gave the remembrance speech and Dr. George Onakoor delivered the main speech.

Rev. Fr. M. D John, Parumala Seminary Manager, gave the vote of thanks. He mentioned that the three mile stones of the Orthodox Church in relation to the diamond jubilee celebration is the introduction of the Internet TV, launch of the Internet Radio and the start of 168 hrs long incessant prayer by OCYM. He also mentioned that the Center is planning to launch the stamp of Parumala Thirumeni. John Achen also mentioned that he would like to collect the miracles and life experiences that the devotees have undergone due to the intercession of Parumala Thirumeni and consolidate them and publish it by next year.

The 168 hours vigil prayer came to a close in the afternoon. At 06.00 PM, the Sandhya Namskaram was conducted under the leadership of Bava Thirumeni. H.G Thomas Mar Athanasios delivered the devotional speech. At 07.45 PM, the blessing and Rasa at 0800 PM was held. The Musical concert was also conducted at 1000 PM. 

Devotees in multitudes, irrespective of caste or creed are continuing to arrive at Parumala to pray at the Kabar of Thirumeni. The number of pilgrims coming to Parumala are increasing by thousands each year.  This proves that all who come to the feet of Thirumeni to offer prayers are being blessed.

H.G Dr. Yuhannon Mar Christosomus Metropolitan, lead the Tri-mass at 8.30 a.m. and His Grace delivered the scriptural message at 09.30 a.m. H.G Geevarghese Mar Ivanios Metropolitan lead the holy Mass at 6.30 am in the chapel.

Devotees in multitudes started arriving at Parumala from the various churches in the country. The pilgrimage processions was accorded a rousing reception by Rev. Fr. M. D John, Parumala Seminary Manager and team at 0900 AM today.

Intercessional prayer meeting was conducted at the Parumala Chapel at 10.00 AM today. It was conducted by the St. Thomas Mission Team, Pathanamthitta.

At 06.45 PM the bishop-designate, Rev. Fr. Dr. Markose Joseph lead the devotees in Meditational Speech.

From 0730 P.M to 0930 P.M the Christian Devotional Music concert was held by Rev Fr. M.P John, Musical Director of Sruthi School of Music and team. It is the first time in the history of Malankara Orthodox Church that such a concert (Sangeetha Kachery) is being held. The concert was dedicated to the unity of the religions.

H.G Paulose Mar Pakomios Metropolitan, lead the Tri-mass at 7.30 a.m. and the bishop-designate, Rev. Fr. Alex Daniel lead the holy Mass at 6.30 am in the chapel.

Intercessional prayer meeting was conducted at the Parumala Chapel at 10.00 AM today. It was conducted by the Aghila Malankara Suvishesha Sangam, under the leadership of Sneha Sandhesham, Mavelikkara.

At 06.45 PM the bishop-designate, Rev. Fr. Dr. John Panicker  lead the devotees in Meditational Speech.

The Catholicos-designate, Paulose Mar Milithios, lead the Tri-mass at 7.30 a.m. and the bishop-designate, Rev. Fr. Dr. John Panicker lead the holy Mass at 6.30 am in the chapel.

Intercessional Prayer by St. Basil Gospel Team:

Intercessional prayer was conducted at the Parumala Chapel by the St. Basil Gospel Team, Pathanamthitta at 10.00 AM today.  Rev. Fr. M. D John, Parumala Seminary Manager inaugurated the function. He mentioned that he was very happy that thousands of devotees around the world were able to take part in the prayer through the Web TV and Web Radio. He also said that all these developments were possible only through the powerful intercession of Parumala Thirumeni.

The St. Basil Gospel team shared spiritual words and lead the devotees in a melodious gana-susrusha in between the intercessional prayers.

H.G Kuriakose Mar Clemis Metropolitan lead the Tri-mass at 7.30 a.m. and the bishop-designate, Rev. Fr. Stephen OIC lead the holy Mass at 6.30 am in the chapel.
